Alejandro Aguilar
Alejandro is a Junior at the University of Saint Thomas, currently exploring his role in the 480 Collective. His academic journey has been defined by a love for creativity, and he is eager to bring this into the collective, contributing through his unique skills and perspective. His role in the collective is in music production, and social media video production, he is excited to collaborate and learn from his peers in the university’s vibrant music community.
Ale is an experienced beat maker and producer. He specializes in chopping samples, crafting intricate beats with a focus on bass guitar and drum pads as his main instruments. His style is heavily influenced by his favorite artists such as Jon Bellion, Thundercat, and Nujabes. Ale can’t wait to work with and see all the unique talent and music UST has to offer.
Ben Barrett
Benjamin Barrett is currently a third-year student at the University of St. Thomas pursuing a BA in Music Business along with a minor in Business Analytics. As a returning member of the 480 Collective, Ben works in Management & Event Logistics.
With a passion for guitar, Ben studies and performs in multiple styles such as classical, rock, jazz, pop, and acoustic. His notable achievements have been performing at the University of St. Thomas Festival Orchestra concert, as well as being an orchestra member for Disney’s Newsies at Artistry Theater. Currently, Ben is also a video production intern with St. Paul Peterson for the Funk Friday project. Ben loves listening to the Grateful Dead, Pink Floyd, and Led Zeppelin. He looks up to musicians like Jimi Hendrix, John Mayer, and Jerry Garcia.
Ben is eager see what the 480 Collective can accomplish and to be working with a team of great people!
Rachel Clement
Meet Rachel, a current Junior double majoring in Music Business and Psychology. As a board member in the 480 Collective, Rachel stands as our Video Production lead, is a part of the Social Media team and helps coordinate Artist Submissions.
Rachel’s primary instruments are voice and piano, alongside that she plays drums. At the University of St. Thomas she sings in the all women's choir Donne Unite as well as performs the national anthem at various sports games. Music wise, Rachel loves anything and everything oldies. Specifically, 70’s Funk, 90's country, and Yacht Rock (aka dad music). Rachel and the rest of the 480 Collective team can’t wait to hear what music UST artists have to share with the world.
Ian Erickson
Ian Erickson is currently a senior at the University of St. Thomas studying Music Business and minoring in Business Administration. Ian plans on helping with Marketing & Promotion as well as A&R, and is excited to find and promote new artists.
Ian is also starting an internship with Elephants & Flowers Media, a publicist company based in Bloomington MN, and worked as an event specialist at the Rochaus in West Dundee IL. Ian is also a guitarist, and is entering his second semester as a member of both the Guitar Ensemble and Pop Music Collective at St. Thomas.
Alex Leary
Alex Leary, a junior at the University of ST. Thomas was one of the first artists to sign to the 480 in the spring of 2024. This year he has joined the staff in the General Management department.
Alex is currently in two rock and roll bands (Kids at Play and Stone Ark), which frequently play live around the twin cities area. Alex is excited to work closely with the artists and make sure they have all of the tools needed for success.
Carson Liebeg
Carson Liebeg, a Senior Music Business major, specializes in audio production. His journey in popular music started by learning drum set and guitar in the seventh grade. Today, he uses that knowledge to create music under an alias on SoundCloud. Carson plans on using his eight years of production experience to help enhance our artist’s music throughout the production phase of the 480 Collective!
He draws inspiration from artists across genres such as Tyler the Creator, Jimi Hendrix, Flume, and G Jones, to name a few - but he plans on meeting 480’s artist’s where they are at, and helping them paint their sonic painting.
Dane Raarup
Dane Raarup is a freshman at the University of St.Thomas pursuing the Music Business Major. Since middle school, he has always had a passion for creating music and experimenting with sound. His main instrument is the guitar, but he has also taken to bass and drums. Recently, Dane has been writing and recording alternative/indie rock music under the name ‘enad’ which is available on streaming platforms.
At The 480 Collective, Dane is excited to work with artists who are not afraid of pushing the boundaries of the music they create. He has always been inspired by artists who aren’t trying to fit into a box when writing music.
Owen Rounds
Owen Rounds is a Senior from St. Louis Park, MN, studying Music Business with a minor in Business Administration. He plays Guitar and Keyboard, and is currently producing his own album. Owen is helping with design in the 480, helping to make posters and flyers.
Outside of the 480, Owen is very involved with the music scene at St Thomas, playing trombone in several ensembles, helping run the Pop and Rock Club and playing in several bands.
Liam Wallace
Liam Wallace is a Senior from St. Paul, MN studying Music Business with a double minor in the Recording Arts and Entrepreneurship. Liam is a co-founder of the 480 Collective, and he is very enthralled to see where this exciting project goes from here. Along with being a team member within The 480, he is also an RA, a Tommie Ambassador, Vice President of the UST Pop & Rock Club, and the KUST Director as a part of The Crest.
Liam plays a few instruments, primarily and most frequently the drum set for over a decade, and he will casually play the guitar and bass here and there. Liam has also released a plethora of music of many different styles under his own name, amongst others all using Logic Pro X, and it can be found on any streaming service. His favorite genres include anything under the Rock, Metal, Prog, and Jazz umbrellas. Artists like, but not limited to Led Zeppelin, Rush, Opeth, King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard, etc.
Suzie Walz
Suzie Walz is a second-year student double majoring in Music Business and Music Performance. She enjoys playing the trumpet with St Thomas ensembles including Wind Symphonic Band, Brass Choir, and Jazz Band. Being vice president of St Thomas Pep Band, she conducts the bands at sports games throughout the year.
In her free time, she enjoys drawing and painting as well as listening to any music she can get her hands on, some of her favorite artists being Noah Kahan, Hozier, Backseat Lovers, Sam Barber, and Sammy Rae
