Meet The
480 Team
Ben Barrett
Benjamin Barrett is a second-year student at the University of St. Thomas pursuing a BA in Music Business along with a minor in Business Analytics. Ben works in A&R as well as outreach at the 480 Collective, and can't wait to see the development of artists on campus. His other roles on campus include being the President and founder of the UST Pop & Rock Club.
Ben has a passion for guitar, studying and performing in multiple genres such as classical, rock, jazz, pop, and acoustic. Ben loves rock bands such as Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, Van Halen, and Greta Van Fleet. He looks up to guitarists such as Jimi Hendrix, John Williams, and John Mayer as well.
Rachel Clement
Meet Rachel, a current sophomore double majoring in Music Business and Psychology. As a board member in the 480 Collective, Rachel stands as our Film & Video Production lead, is a part of the Event Production & Logistics team and helps coordinate artist submissions.
Rachel’s primary instruments are voice and piano, alongside that she plays drums and guitar. At the University of St. Thomas she sings in the all women's choir Donne Unite. Music wise, Rachel loves anything and everything oldies. Specifically, 70’s Funk, Neo-Soul, and Yacht Rock (aka dad music). Rachel and the rest of the 480 Collective team can’t wait to hear what music UST artists have to share with the world.
Kaylen DeBois
Kaylen is a Senior Music Business and Psychology student. In her time at St. Thomas, she has performed in the orchestra as well as two choirs. She toured Southern France alongside the UST Orchestra in May of 2022 and is preparing to tour Austria and Italy with the UST Choirs this summer.
Kaylen’s primary instrument is digital music, but she also plays guitar, piano, drums, viola, and sings. At the 480 Kaylen is a fundamental part of the design and marketing team. Her favorite style of music is Pop and she has been inspired by musicians like Selena Gomez, Jeremy Zucker, Sabrina Carpenter, JP Saxe, and Noah Cyrus.
Owen Hjerpe
Owen Hjerpe, a Junior at the University of St. Thomas, is deeply involved in the world of music. Owen, who is majoring in Music Business and minored in Mathematics and Recording Arts, adds a unique set of abilities and passion to The 480 Collective. As General Management/Admissions and Production Engineer, he is critical to the collective's operations.
Owen has a solid background in digital music production and years of expertise as a saxophonist, and he has performed with a variety of classical and contemporary ensembles. His passion for jazz, particularly jazz fusion, bossa nova, and samba, drives his creative work within the collective.
Carson Liebeg
Carson Liebeg, a Junior Music Business major, specializes in audio production. His journey in popular music started by learning drum set and guitar in the seventh grade. Today, he uses that knowledge to create music under an alias on SoundCloud. Carson plans on using his eight years of production experience to help enhance our artist’s music! He draws inspiration from artists across genres such as Tyler the Creator, Jimi Hendrix, Flume, and G Jones, to name a few - but he plans on meeting 480’s artists where they are at, and helping them paint their sonic paintings.
Kori-Ann Hermitt
Kori-Ann Hermitt, a Senior at the University of St. Thomas, studying Music Business was raised in Kingston, Jamaica. Playful yet introspective, her very versatile tone reflects her love for musical theatre, R&B, Souls, Jazz, reggae, and Gospel. At 480 , Kori-Ann is the head of the submission oversight and management team.
Her notable past performances & accomplishments include: Representing Jamaica at the global biennial Teen Talent Competition in 2019 held in Cleveland Tennessee where herself and members of her team won gold in the small ensemble category; becoming a 2023 Greenroom Fellow at the Ordway Center For Performing Arts, performing as Princess Tiana at Minnesota’s first ever Disney princess cabaret in 2023, currently apart of Aspire Academy’s stars on Broadway show ‘24, a member of the Titambe West African Dance Ensemble and once performed as a backup vocalist for international gospel artiste, Judith Gayle.
Kori-Ann continues to be involved in choirs and acapella groups and is focusing on pursuing her goal of becoming a professional and well-known composer, dancer, actress and Broadway vocalist. She wishes to empower and instigate healing in the hearts of all through the creative arts.
Claire Ricard
Claire is a Senior from Benson, Minnesota studying music business with a minor in business administration. She plays several instruments including flute, alto sax, bari sax, guitar, bass guitar, ukulele and piano. She has taken on learning digital music and is in the process of producing some of her original songs to be released within the next year. She’s a designer at the 480 collective and will also contribute to video production.
Outside of school and music, she is also on the St Thomas volleyball team where she has had an incredible experience helping the team make the historic jump from division three to division one, and plans to continue her fifth year of eligibility in California while getting an MA in music production. She is grateful to be at a place that allows her to pursue both music and athletics.
Spencer Rhoten
Spencer is currently a Junior at the University of St. Thomas studying Entrepreneurship and Music Business. Spencer has had substantial experience in the music industry, releasing and promoting his own music, interning alongside management companies to plan music festivals, as well as managing an artist in Atlanta, GA. Spencer is involved in the 480’s management and administration team, he hopes to bring his range of experiences to fulfill the needs of 480’s artists and bring their talents to the next level.
While Spencer’s primary instrument is voice, he also has significant experience in music production, guitar, and bass. Spencer loves artists like Bon Iver, Hippo Campus, and Still Woozy.
Liam Wallace
Liam Wallace is a Junior from St. Paul, MN studying Music Business with a minor in the Recording Arts. Liam’s role in the 480 Collective is (undetermined as of yet/humble comedic relief), and he is very enthralled to see where this exciting project goes from here. Among this role within The 480, he is also an RA, a Tommie Ambassador, Vice President of the UST Pop & Rock Club, and the KUST Director as a part of TommieMedia.
Liam plays a few instruments, primarily and most frequently the drum set for over a decade, and he will casually play the guitar and bass here and there. Liam has also released a plethora of music of many different styles under his own name, amongst others all using Logic Pro X, and it can be found on any streaming service. His favorite genres include anything under the Rock, Metal, Prog, and Jazz umbrellas. Artists like, but not limited to Led Zeppelin, Rush, Opeth, King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard, etc.
Berlina Walker
Berlina Walker is a Junior at UST majoring in Music Business and is originally from Eau Claire, Wisconsin. Their position is unspecified in the 480 Collective however Berlina excels at social media marketing and vocal performance.
She is also a member of UST’s Theatre Club and QSA (Queer-Straight Alliance). Their favorite music genres are Indie Pop, Rock, Jazz, and Musical Theatre.
Maggie Wuollet
Maggie is currently a Senior studying Music Business with an emphasis in Management and Creative Leadership. While at St.Thomas she began the process of releasing her own music, performing live in the Twin Cities, and collaborating with other artists in the area. Maggie has also spent time in Nashville working with Triple 8 Management and their artists including Madison Cunningham, Julian Lage, Watkins Family Hour, Phillip Phillps, Judah and The Lion, and many more.
Maggie’s primary instrument is digital music, but she’s most known for singing and songwriting. Instrument wise she plays piano, guitar, ukulele, and the harmonica. Maggie doesn’t necessarily have a favorite genre of music as she enjoys them all, but if she had to pick, she’d say country, rock, and pop would be her go to on a daily basis. The songwriters and producers she looks up to the most would be Aaron Dessner, Rick Rubin, Joe Brentlinger, Bonnie McKee, and Julia Michaels. At the 480 Collective, Maggie is a key part of the overall management and administration team working to bring the vision and big picture of 480 to life.
